March Meeting Preview: Round Table Panel on Publishing

Our March meeting will focus on the publication process, including the main types of publication methods used by authors today. To help us understand some of the more common options, a panel of current and former members of South Bay Writers will talk about their experiences publishing their works.
Vanessa MacLaren-Wray is an energy systems engineer who has written many science fiction and fantasy novels, including the “Patchwork Universe” series published by Water Dragon Publishing.

Alfred Jan is an optometrist, who also obtained a Masters degree in Philosophy, specializing in Aesthetics. He wrote art criticism from 1982 to 1995, has compiled collections of mystery and detective stories, and currently writes catalog essays for artists.

Robyn King (R. L. King) has been publishing her bestselling Alastair Stone Chronicles urban fantasy series and its spinoffs (over 50 books between them) since 2015.
Dave Bartell has sold over 100,000 books through his own imprint and is currently completing his tenth thriller.
