Book Publishing 1-2-3: From the Writer’s Fingers to the Reader’s Hands
Sweetened with stories and “SuperTips” (for example, how to find literary agents), this fast-paced workshop is designed to inspire aspiring authors and boost their chances of getting published. Join us for a quick peek at the world of words: we’ll discuss the children’s literature market, check out self-publishing, follow a manuscript as it blossoms into a book, and talk about how authors can sell their work. Other highlights: writing exercises and our “Editor’s Tips on Craft” segment. Presented by longtime book editor/proofreader and CWC member Laurie Gibson (Central Coast branch).
Sunday, Aug. 29, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Los Altos Library (13 S. San Antonio Road, Los Altos). Free.
